What’s the biggest difference between veteran EDC players and novice EDC players?

EDC (Every Day Carry) refers to the items that people carry with them every day. This concept has a long history and has also formed its own circle culture. However, even within the same circle, as it gradually develops and expands, it has branched out into many subgroups. The two most obvious ones are the practical faction and the fidgeting faction. The practical faction usually carries folding knives, Swiss army knives, multi-functional tool pliers, tactical pens, lighters, crowbars, flashlights and so on. These items have strong tool features and practicality. I call the players in this group veteran players. They carry equipment that is more in line with the original concept of EDC. They are prepared for any situation and prevent problems before they occur.

On the other hand, the fidgeting faction mostly carries items like flippers, fidget spinners, pendants, lucky coins, brass knuckles, tactical patches, as well as some titanium alloy toys and rare metal toys. These items have strong stress-relieving and fidgeting characteristics. As far as I know, most of the players in this group are relatively young and like toys with trendy play features. They are attracted by the cool appearances and interesting structures of these items. Of course, they don’t completely separate these two subgroups. For example, people who prefer practical EDC items may also carry one or two fidgeting toys, and those who like fidgeting items may also bring along one or two practical pieces of equipment.
