Knife Sharing: Microtech “Maritime Scarab II” Full Serrated Version

The Scarab II was developed from the Scarab automatic out-the-front (OTF) knife that Microtech introduced in 2003. It was launched in 2020 and adopted the so-called “Maritime” design. The “Maritime” version is a tactical OTF knife specifically designed for underwater environments. There are water drainage grooves at the base of the blade and on both ends of the handle, which makes it convenient to open and close the knife underwater. The main features of the Scarab II include its solid and sturdy blade and handle. Meanwhile, a large number of anti-slip rubber patches are inlaid on the handle. The full serrated design is more advantageous for cutting ropes. In terms of size, it is the largest among Microtech’s OTF knives.
